We also use a hybrid Content Management System that allows our clients to take charge of their own sites.
LAMP is an open source technology, meaning that thousands of developers from around the world are well versed in the platform. Developer abandonment is not a problem with Sammaron but just to put your mind at ease, if you decided for any reason that Sammaron wasn't the right developer for you, you could move your site anywhere and find a developer that could easily pick up on the job.
